Most of what people ask is below. If yours isn't, email andy@yewsoftware.com. A real person reads it — usually replies same day.
how do i get paid?
Connect your existing Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or crypto address once on /cash/me/onboarding. You get a personal link like/p/your-nameand a chit URL for each amount. Share either. When a friend taps, they pay you on whichever app they have. The money lands wherever you connected — yew never holds it.is this really free?
Yes. Zero per-transaction fee, zero monthly subscription. Money moves on the underlying rail (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, on-chain crypto) and whatever fees those charge are between you and them. yew. charges nothing.what if my friend doesn't have any of these apps?
Then they can't pay you through yew. Tap into your link from a phone that doesn't have Venmo / Cash App / Zelle / a wallet and you'll see what your friend would see — the rails are the only thing we route to.can i use this for my business?
No. yew. is for personal, peer-to-peer payments only. The underlying rails (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle) prohibit personal accounts being used for commercial activity, and we route to those rails. If you need a real merchant processor for your shop, check out biz.yew.cash or services like Stripe or Square.how do i delete my account?
Sign in, then tap /cash/me/delete from the Me tab. Type your email to confirm. Everything goes within 30 days. See the privacy policy for the full retention table.what if a payment goes wrong?
Money moves on the underlying rail, so the rail's support is the first stop — Venmo support for Venmo issues, Cash App for Cash App issues, your wallet provider for crypto. If you tap a yew link and the rail app fails to open, email us at andy@yewsoftware.com and we'll dig in.why don't you accept cards?
Card processing requires us to hold a merchant account and pass PCI compliance — both real costs that would have to be priced into per-transaction fees. The rails we route to already have you covered for free between friends. If you specifically need card acceptance, you need a merchant processor, not yew.how do i add crypto?
Open /cash/me/onboarding and paste a Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USDC address. We render a QR directly on your link page. Crypto addresses are public — anyone with your link can see them, same as if you DM'd the address.what devices does this support?
Any phone with a modern browser. We target iPhone 15-class Safari and Chrome Android first; we test 360 / 393 / 430 px widths. The link can be opened in a desktop browser too — the rails just open their web flow instead of their app.
